CONCOURS D ELEGANCE
The Sunbeam National Concours D'Elegance will be judged on the condition and presentation of each car, in which originality (or original intent in refurbishments) is encouraged but not mandatory. It is expected that the best original or restored to original car in each category should win.
Should there be less than 5 vehicles entered in a category, they are to be included in the next class or category, unless that vehicle is a different body design (excluding convertibles).
It is expected that all Club vehicles attending will be driven to the National Meet in the spirit of the event. All cars entered in the Concours must be driven in the Pre-Concours tour.
Judging will be by a selected inter-club panel.
It is not obligatory that all vehicles present be entered for judging.

Club Shield

Sunbeams entered in the Concours D'Elegance will be judged in 5 sections by teams of judges. This being an 'elegance' event, an original, neat, clean and well-maintained car should score well.
SECTION 1
EXTERNAL BODY WORK
Panels and Paint - The car should be clean and polished, panel fit and matching colour on all panels will be judged.
Trim, Brightwork & Glass - Dents, blemishes and/or scratches on trims and glass will lose points, present everything at its best.
Wheels & Tyres - Paint finish on wheels, condition of wheel trims, dents, etc. will be judged. Tyre condition, tread wear, matching tyres, sizes and tread patterns, will all be considered.

SECTION 4
INTERIOR
Old and clean can score as well as, if not better than, new and dirty. Any items left inside the vehicles, e.g. street directories, steering locks or umbrellas may detract from the 'general presentation of the vehicle. Soft top up or hard top on vehicle for judging.
SECTION 5
BOOT
Judges must have access to the boot. It should be neat and tidy. Spare wheel should be secured in place and match other wheels on the car. Tools should be clean and visible.
OVERALL APPEARANCE
Overall appearance is intended to reflect the impression gained when looking at the vehicle and should aid the neat and clean' aims of a Concours D'Elegance event.
ORIGINALITY
Is an important assessment within this event and may eventually determine the winner should a tie occur, i.e. the more 'original' vehicle would win.
In the event of disputes on originality, parts/service manuals or sales brochures will be used for verification.
Judges discretion will apply for all non-standard items. Judges decision is final.
